Author's Notes: The poem, from which I got the title, is e.e. cummings's "silently if,out of not knowable." (It doesn't really have a title. When I found it last year, I immediately thought "Spike!" but I had to wait this long to use it. And while this was the last chapter, I don't know if it's the end yet.
