Summary: Grief . . . and what it drives one man to do

Author's Notes: This is just a short story, no more than two chapters. The idea for this one came to me while I was lighting the September 11th memorial that’s in my hometown. I do it every Friday night, in memory of those who died that day. For those of you that don’t already know, I’m a native New York girl, born and bred – lived most of my life in the shadows of those towers. Politics and beliefs aside, I lost far too many people I knew that day – friends, former boyfriend, and family. So the idea for this was born one night in the moments of honoring those who are no more. Title is from a Carlos Santana/Everlast collaboration, with the lyrics by Everlast. Quotes are as attributed. Disclaimers prove that once again, I own nothing but the idea for the story; everything else belongs to ME and Whedon.

2. His ~ Reviews (0)
Author's Notes: Here’s the second part of this, from a different point in time and a different point of view, but grief knows no boundaries, takes no prisoners. . . And barely leaves survivors. This song is from Dido’s debut album and it struck me that perhaps, it applies to this situation. Disclaimers in full force and effect. I own nothing.

Author's Notes: This was only supposed to be two chapters, but because I can’t resist the plea of a sometimes good minion, I wrote this one. Disclaimers in full force and effect. I own nothing.

4. Theirs, Part ii ~ Reviews (1)
Author's Notes: This was only supposed to be two chapters, one from each of their points of view, and somehow it morphed into this four chapter epic. Okay, so it’s not an epic by my standards, but it wasn’t supposed to be this long at all. *sighs* I hope you are all enjoying this anyway. Quotes are as attributed. Disclaimers in full force and effect.
