Noice! Really liked the Spikliness of him, and "the obvious sexual tension" is a line that so could, and *should*, have been in the script! Where *was* Joss in S7?! Direct-Buffyness rules. I always wonder though - does no-one else ever think that Spike saying to Wood "You don't wanna miss a look at her (weapons) chest." in the basement is the most awful testosterony 'I've had her' macho posturing for which he actually really deserves a bollocking! That's totally giving away stuff about not just their but *her* sexual behaviour to a relative stranger just so he can score a few points off him - no *wonder* she'd be pissed off about that, wouldn't you be?! I've always thought that's a part of the motivation for her verbally bitch-slapping him upstairs later, and frankly it's understandable! But I've never seen a fic about that situation that wasn't just her apologising to him. I love Spike - and I mean *LOVE* him - but it's not like he can't be a *wanker*, and something weird's going on if the entire fanbase can no longer come down on Buffy's side *ever*, innit? I mean, she's the one... Anyhoo. Maybe... maybe there could be more of this. You know, sometime, if you wanted to. ;-D Thanks! -ya-
