I love this Giles! His hearty acceptance and love of Spike is palpable, and his warmth was apparent from that initial hug. This is just the kind of friend Spike needs in light of his harrowing past. He really was a mess, allowing himself to get so out of control, manipulated by the women he was bedding.

I enjoyed the unflattering, grim picture of Ethan's life. Poor Spike, with the tabloids gunning for him, Buffy's sure to take her nice, quiet life and run in the opposite direction.

Walking in on Angel and Cordelia would have been devastating, but I wonder if Cordelia's take was entirely true. Buffy admitted she never spoke to Angel after her discovery, so what if Cordy was blowing smoke, making sure she and Angel split to give her a real chance with him. It's all very entertaining, and now Buffy and Spike are going to wake up together!

They're coming together naturally and their attraction is lovely to read. They're both so careful of one another, without knowing their full stories. It seems, once they've really talked, they'll handle each other's heart carefully. The menace of Faith and Robin lurks just on the horizon.
