Oh, how cruel that the telephone was a toy. Not sure what Buffy's plan was even if she did manage to call as help would surely be far away and consequences immediate. Not sure if you'll continue this story, but I saw it on the most read (or most reviewed? Can't recall which) list and had to know why. I hope that maybe you will consider continuing it at some date. :)
